Fable Charity Retail Outlets To Close.

It is with much sadness that we are to announce that from close of business Saturday 15th January 2022 that all Fable Charity Retail Shops will close their doors for the last time.

In 2017 the charity’s lost its founder and the charity’s driving force to cancer.
The charity was taken over and ran by the operations manager for the next 4 years. It took a while to recover.

The pandemic of Covid-19 hit us like many other charities and set us back somewhat, but we came through that.

In November 2021 sadly we lost fables operations Manager to a brain haemorrhage at age 46.

The trustees have held several meeting to see if the way forward was still tenable. Unfortunately the operations managers job entailed being multi skilled. The post was advertised but unfortunatelly the main skill of having a working knowledge and understanding of epilepsy and preferably medically trained. Having retail management experience, fundraising, organising support groups, meeting with sponsors, patrons etc.
There was no one that came forward could fill the position

The outcome is that the trustees have decided after 23 years trading as a charity.
Followed by weeks of discussion it was now time to call it a day.

We would like to thank all customers past and present and every one of you that has donated, volunteered and bought items from our Crookes. Herries. Broomhill.  Woodseats. Hillsborough shops over the years. Your patronage has helped so many patients and families we cannot thank you enough.

Thank you All

Fable Staff and Trustees
